The
58-hectare plan will generate 17 residential plots
with capacity for 2,114 homes. The proposed structure
seeks to allow the city to live alongside nature,
with the plan involving provision of public open
spaces with a balance between green areas and the
built environment.
Both in terms
of conception and implementation, the plan satisfies
criteria of quality and sustainability, in addition
to incorporating technological advances such as
a solid waste pneumatic collection system.
Completion
date for the recently allotted project is expected
to be late-2007. However, it is hoped that the
development plan will run concurrently with the
drawing-up of the building plans and the marketing
of the plots.
